Datong No. 12 Primary School / 大同第十二小学校

Datong is a strange city with a lot of derelict places to explore: residential ruins after demolition, unfinished-abandoned buildings. On the day I found this place, I was looking at demolished ruins in the city center. This used to be a primary school… The slogan says « specialized education » but I could not find information about this online…

There was also a historical building: this used to be Datong’s catholic school for girls, built in 1903.

The other buildings were in an advanced stage of decay, but I am not sure when exactly the school closed, even if I found nostalgic messages on several black boards. The guard did not know either…

I was glad to have found this place. As you can see, it will soon be demolished!
